The acting of the two petites, Misses Georgie and Eiith Clawson, deserves especial mention; and the apotheosis at the finale was very fhe. In the "Rough Diamond" Mr. Mar-getts' Mar-getts' Joe is well known, and always keeps the house in a roar while he is on the stage. Miss Voeller is a lively, vivacious actress, but her Margery was overdone. To-night Mr. Lyne is the receipient of a complimentary benefit, when"ilich-elteu" when"ilich-elteu" will be played, Mr. Lyne in the title role, Mr. Chaplin as Joseph, Mr. Thorne as Barradas, Mr. J. S. Lindsay as de Mauprat, Mr. Margetts as de Beringhen, Mr. Mackintosh as Huger, Mr. Wilton as the King, Mr. Forster as Francois, Miss Walters as Julia, and Mrs. Bowring as Marian. It will be followed by "An Object of Interest," Inter-est," with Mr. Chaplin as Barney, Miss Walters as Fanny, and Messrs. Margetts, Wilton, Paul, Mrs. Bowring and Mrs. Grist in the east. |
