Sunday morning Coroner Herman, in New lork, made a post mortem examination ut the Morgue of the body of an unknown female, discovered on Saturday in a trunk left at tho Hudson .River Railroad depot for Chicago. The verdict was that tho cause of death was iutlauiaiion of the bowels brought on by abortion. Tho coipso ia evidently of a young woman 18 or 19 years of age. Tho features are pleasing, hair light, height 5 leet 2 inchoa.. No cluo has been obtained to tho identity of the woman who left the trunk containing the remains of the victim at the depot. The truckman and ihe driver of a coupe which brought tho woman to the depot, who had been arretted on suspicion, have been discharged, there being no evidence against them. The latter states he does not know who the woman, was, and he drove her to the depot in tho ordinary way of business. The boy, Alexander Parks, who assisted assist-ed in carrying the trunk into the depot failed to identity the truckman. The police are making strenuous exertions to unravel the mystery. The houses of noted abortionists arc now under the strictest surveillance. TUE MVSrEBT CLEARED UP. A press telegram from New York last Bight says : "The mystery of the corpse found in a trunk at the Hudson river depot is clearing up. The truckman truck-man who brought it surrendered himself, him-self, and the police, acting on information informa-tion given by him, have arrested an alleged notorious abortionist, Dr. Jos. Rosenwig, alias Aahcr, from whose house, it is stated, tho trunk was taken. Tho people attempted to lynch the Doctor as he was being conveyed to tho tombs and he was saved with difficulty by the police. Ho denies all knowledge of the affair."
