Show Snow in Cottonwood. The latest report from Cottonwood is that notwithstanding not-withstanding the great depth of the snow, there is no difficulty in getting around, as the snow is well packed. Theatre. There was a full house at the theatre last night on the occasion occa-sion of Mr. Byron's benefit and the Grat production of "Ben McCullough." The drama was a decided success, and is pronounced a much better piece than "Across the Continent." Mr. Byron's acting was far superior to anything he has done here yet. Of course this piece gives him.much better opporlu-nitiea. opporlu-nitiea. Mrs.Byron was well received, and her acting of Maud gave evidence of fine dramatic ability. The support by the company was very good, if we except the usual uncertainty in some of the smaller parts incidental to a first performance. 1 The piece was well put upon the stage. Tho scenery was particularly noticeable and reflects great credit upon the young artist, Mr. Ursenbach. The late hour at which the performance closed prevents our making further no-1 tice at present. "Ben McCulloL'gb" will be repeated to-night. |
