Show At Washington. We find the following fol-lowing in a press dispatch from Washington Wash-ington dated Dec, lyth: George G Cannon, editor of the Salt Lako Xacs, aud Klder in the Mormon church, was on the floor of the house yesterday and was introduced by delegate Hooper to numerous members. Mr. C. did not state it, although it is quite evident that tho Mormons are gradually acquiescing in the proposed policy to admit Ctah as a State, and, iu future, to abolish polygamy, lie returns this week with delegate Hooper to confer with the leading Mormons. |
