Show Horse Thief Caught. Yesterday morning Sheriff J. Burt, of Bos Elder oounty, brought into town John Sutton, a Missourian, who had been arrested for horse-stealing, and turned him over to Marshal Patrick. The animal stolen was a black mare belonging belong-ing to a gentleman at Corinno, which was recovered near Snake river by some freighters and brought back to the owner. The thieves for Sutton had a companion named McCoy returned on a couple of stolen horses after the captors of the mare, threatening to kill them; and Sutton was captured by tho Sheriff, with Col. Loveland and a posse from Corinne, in a clump of willows, some little distance from that town. McCoy escaped, leaving behind him all tho arms with which they I wore woll supplied except one re-I re-I volver. Ho is still at largo. |
