Show A WONDERFUL KITTEN. Mr. Paul Cave, who lives in this town, near Leons, informs us that his old cat came home a few days ago dragging with her teeth what appeared like 'a bundle of kittens. On examination examina-tion the collection proved to be parts of four kittens rown together, two at the shoulder and two others joined to these by their hind parts in such a manner that whichever two were on the floor the other two would be in the air, feet upwards. Where the bodies joined legs were missing, wj that the whole combination had only seven legs in alL Otherwise there were parts for four individual kittens, four bodies, four heads, eight eyes, eight ears, four tails, &c There was only one umbilicus, umbili-cus, and the whole seemed to be one organization, inasmuch as when one mouth mewed all mewed, and all the eyes drooped in slumber or opened after a nap at the same -moment All ; the- mouths took nourishment at once that could get at it, but the peculiar build of the animal (we speak of it in the singular it was singular made it necessary for part of tho mouths to practice self-denial, or mew-sic, till affairs, af-fairs, or the old cat, took a turn. When all the mouths were empty the whole conglomeration would setup and yell with such remarkable concert between be-tween the four voices that the effect was four times the quadrupled excruciating excru-ciating capacity of any one cat. This rare faculty was advantageous in securing secur-ing every attention called for. Frc-donia Frc-donia (New York) Censor. |
