Wales and John Sullivan, the parties met and were engaged en-gaged in a renewal of hostilities, when as Sullivan was in front of tho post office he was fired upon with a double-' barreled shot-gun by Wales, who stood in the door of a house adjoining. The i contents of both barrels were lodged in ! and about Sullivan's shoulder. After receiving the first shot ho ran a short ' distance and fell, receiving the second ; shot while running. He died within ten I minutes, without speaking or becoming ; conscious, Wales is under arrest. |
