Meader, K-q., ussuyor, and the Dcserot Mining Company, now merged into the New Consolidated Eureka Co. ol'Tintio, for a period of fourteen working work-ing days, fro 111 April l'Jth to tho 2Stli, inclusive; tho net receipts from sales of ore niiiiHinting to tho couifoi table sum of Si 1,574 51. Tho nciual va'uo of tho oro in three, live and ten ton lots, ranges from $174, (iho lowest), to $1-21, $1-21, $2,74o and $3,01)7.51 tho highest, high-est, and aggregating in actual value, less freight and charges for milling at Ueno, $1S,00G 73; or nn averago value in thirty tons of over $000 per ton, had tho company's mills been in operation at their mines. These figures provo conclusively that our formor estimates on the valuo of uineral in Euieka, Tintie, wero not overestimated, but rather the contrary. Tho company aro receiving daily specimens of extremely rich and fine horn silver from their mines, assaying from $10,000 to $20,000 per ton, some of which were shown us yesterday. They aro also in receipt of several " bricks" of silver from their ores, milled at Reno; one of which, milled from $2400 rock, weighs forty-fivo ounces and is valued at $50 00. This looks like business and we are assured that the company will have stamp mills and smelting works in full operation at their mines in Eureka within sixty days. |
