Show The Firm' Large Mining Deed. The first large mining deed in Utah Territory and a uovehy woith chronicling, chroni-cling, passed through our bauds yesterday, yes-terday, in the shape of Mr. Woodmau's 1 deed to Warren Hussey, Esq., for Lis 1 interest in the Emma mine, covering j one-fourth of said mine, t'r which Mr. Husscy paid $110,000 iu U. S. gold coin. We decidedly think Mr. Hussey was sensible in rvtVirg to sell that one-fourth to California capital. He is one of our leading capitalists and should own a cotitroiing interest in such mine. Utah need.- capital to develop de-velop her mineral resources, but has she not a large amount of capita within her borders9 Mr. Husey and Mr. Jennings answer the question. 1 The workmanship of the deed in question ques-tion was executed by W. S. Walker, 1 and is a splendid piece of ca'.i- : grapby. The stamps costing the trifle t of f 110, show what government exacts for licr mineral transfers. |
