Show Unripe Fruit. In passing through the city thc eye is often painfully arrested ar-rested by the sight of trees laden with fruit, yet stripped of foliage by the grasshoppers during their last visit tare. Large boughs are bending be-Mcilh. be-Mcilh. a wealth of fruit rapidly coloring in the hot sun, but it is very questionable question-able if much of it is ripening properly. There is danger in using it uncooked tflJor such circumstances, for though it may appear ripe it is not really so. Wo earnestly urge upon mothers the importance of keeping a strict watch Ter what is eaten by their children for a couple of months longer, that tiey may be preserved in health aud ot be subjected to maladies arising from improper diet, and particularly from unripe fruits, which are so liable to produce fatal results. |
