Show Curious Telegraphic Fact. A I very curious fact has been noticed by the telegraphers on the island of St. Pierre, Miquelon, which the readers of i the World will remember is the ter minus of the ocean section of the' French Atlantic cable. There tire two telegraph stations there, one belonging to ihe French Transatlantic Company, and employing exceedingly delicate in strunieuts; the other belongs to an American company, which receives messages from Newfoundland and then transm ts them to Sidney. This line uses the Morse signals and a powei ful battery. The instruments of the French company, it was found, were seriou.Jy disturbed by earth currents, the cause of which was at first a mystery. It was afterwards found out that the great battery u-ed by the American company charg. d and dix-hargt-d the whole i'.-hmi as if it were a Lcyjen jar. It was further discovered that by a proper manipulation of the French instruments every message sen: by the American company cou.d be read in the Transatlantic office, the only connection con-nection between the lines being the earth. -JV.
