Show THE EXCURSION- PARTY. The party of railroad officials ol whom we have made mention several times already, arrived iu town yesterday yester-day about noon. They comprise Passenger Pas-senger and Freight Agents of all the leading lines in the United States and the Dominion of Canada, except the New York Central and New York & Erie. A numher of ladies accompanied the party. During their brief stay of about seven hours the streets were lively live-ly with their presence, and with flying carriages. The following representatives of the papers named also accompanied them : S. J. Medill, Chicago Tribune; Miss Evarts, Chicago Journal; J. B. Flem-ming, Flem-ming, St, Louis Times, W. V. Cot-kin, Cot-kin, Chicago Times; E. W. Hall, Omaha Tribune; A. B. Hull, Bridgeport, Bridge-port, Conn., Standard; and J. C. Ferguson, Alia California. The party is under the direction of B. E. Keim, the gentlemanly Assistant General Passenger Agent of the U. P. R. Kj T. H. Goodman, Esq., General Passenger Pas-senger Agent and John Corning, Esq., Assistant General Superintendent of the C. P. R. B.., joined them at Og-den, Og-den, and will extend the courtesies of the Central Pacific to them during their trip to San Francisco and return. re-turn. John T. Caine, Esq., of the Herald, Hon. Geo. Q. Cannon, of the Xews, and D. 0. Calder, E.-q., of the Utah . Central, accompanied the party lat night when they left for California. This excursion must be a very pleasant pleas-ant one to those composing it, most of whom, having been long connected with railroads, will feel t.peeial gratification grati-fication in traveling over such a. long continuous line as that which biads the oceans together, and opens up the wonderful scenery of the "Great Rockies'' Rock-ies'' and the Sierras.
