Show Interesting Additions. The Museum has received some very interesting inter-esting additions lately. There is a very fine case of English birds, including includ-ing a pheasant, partridges, skylarks and king-fisher, with a leveret, arranged ar-ranged with capital skill, with ferns and mosses which show the tapidermist's taste. The case was prepared by Mr. Simeon Orton, of Man-field, Notts., England, and was brought on by Mr. Wm. Pidcock. There are also a number num-ber of most interesting and valuable specimens from Scandinavia, brought by Mr. Jesse N. Smith, including corals, star-fish, coins and other curiosities. curiosi-ties. The Menagerie department, besides, be-sides, has received the addition of a couple of vultures. Mr. Barfoot is kept busy arranging the specimens as they arrive, and explaining their character char-acter to visitors. |
