Show AGAINST THE UNION PACIFIC It Is All Preliminary to the Big Sale New York Oct 20A bill of complaint com-plaint was filed today in the United States circuit court by George Hadley special assistant to Attorney General Joseph McKenna in the suit brought by the United States against the Union Pacific Railway company and Frederick Coudert and J P Morgan and others as partners under the firm name of J Pieinont Morgan CoIr Co-Ir Hoadley iri his complaint makes request that he be furnished by the defendants with a statement showing the amount of assets and property I turned over by the Union Pacific Rail i way company to Drexel Morgan Co and J Pierpont Morgan Co He also asks that defendants furnish a statement state-ment showing all the dealings of these two firms with assets and that they be required to show who is now in possession pos-session of the assets and property of the railway company and what portion por-tion now remains in the possession of these firms or other of the defendants In the bill it is further asked that the defendants be reQuired to show what amount of money or other property has been realized by J Pierpont Morgan Co from the sale or other disposition of the assets of the railway company and in whose possession these proceeds are at the present time I is further asked that orders of the court may be issued making persons or corporations vhich have received any such assets or property or the proceeds thereof from J Pierpont Morgan Co and who are now possessed of any part of such assets as-sets of property parties to the suit Mr Hoadley further asks that an accounting ac-counting be hold to determine the claim and rights of the complainants when uch claims are due and the amount of these claims are given legal credit for all assets and property held as security therefor to the extent available there from as security for the complainant I it also asked that final decree be rendered against the members of the firm of J Pierpont Morgan Co and other defendants subjecting the assets and property of the Union Pacific Rail way company or their proceeds which may now be in possession of Drexel Morgan Co or J Pierpont Morgan Co to the lien of the United States as security for the residue which may be due th a government on such an accounting ac-counting because of the issue of subsidiary sub-sidiary lien bonds issued in aid qf the construction of the Union Pacific railway rail-way |
