Show DEATH OFHJ1 HADLEY I Well Known Short Line Conductor jl Died Last Evening I TOOK A DOSE OF MORPHINE PASSED AWAY AT THE ROM I SISTER Dr Critchlow Called In But It Was Too Late The Deceased Had Bean Despondent For Some Time TSTas Widely Known Among Eailroad Men Henry M Hadley the wellknown railway passenger conductor died at his home 447 West Second North street at 930 last evening from the effects of a dose of morphine administered from all indications with suicidal intent in-tent The deceased lived with his two sisters and was unmarried He has been in a despondent mood for sometime some-time owing to business relations and it is believed sought relief by death although it is claimed that he simply took an overdose of the drug Drs Worthingfoh and Critchlow attended at-tended the man but the former when asked for information replied very ungraciously un-graciously and declined to give any statements whatever Hadley was taken to Evans under I taking rooms and an inquest will no doubt be held today He was a man well liked in the community com-munity and at the time of his death was employed by the Oregon Short Line as freight conductor He was about 41 years of age |
