01 BILLY MORGAN SHOT He Was Defending His Right to Some Claims at State Line News of a shooting affray at State Line was received in this citv yesterday I yester-day but was of an indefinite character charac-ter as to whether the same was fatal or not Billy Morgan was the victim He is an old prospector and miner and had secured an option on some good property prop-erty down there which he went to take possession of The parties owning the property noting a chance to make some money sold the same to another man and he demanded possession which Morgan refused and the shooting resulted re-sulted The information received was very meager and no further details accompanied accom-panied it Morgan has been a partner part-ner of A G Bast of this city in prospecting pros-pecting and was at one time connected with Arthur I Groves of Keeley institute in-stitute fame in the same manner Mr Basthas no further information than that given above
