May Lease and llonu It is highly probable that within the next few days a lease and bond maybe may-be executed on the Mountain Chief a gold property located on the south side of Big Cottonwood canyon about a mile above its mouth mention of which was be made in The Herald on Wednesday for negotiations to that end are now on and the outlodk is very promising The report of the expert who examined the mine were of a very favorable nature and yesterday yes-terday the assays were made of the ores brought in for the purpose of making tests The returns were highly gratifying and showed a general gen-eral average of the four foot face of the vein of 30 the range in the assays as-says being from 4 to 360 in gold This ore is secured at a depth of but twentyeight feet
