| Show AJAX LITIGATION Peter Burke and John Sullivan Sues Henry M Ryan Peter C Burke and Jehn T Sullivan have entered suit in the Third district court against Henry lI Ryan alleging that since January 1895 they were the owners of 12164 shares of stock of the Ajax Mining company that Mr Ryan held 64430 shares of stock as a trustee for the plaintiffs and that on January 1 the defendant at the request of the plaintiffs deeded 60000 of said shares to them and assigned 1430 Shares belonging to them to W H Dickson but wrongfully withheld from wranguly them 24164 shares of the value of 50 cents each amounting t 12082 Where I fore judgment for that fol amount is t j prayed together with 51000 damages Mr Ryan gays he has nO shares be < longing to either of the plaintiffs that I when by his money and means lie accomplished ac-complished the settlement of the litigation liti-gation between the Champlain and the Copperoplis and the consolidation of the two mines under the name of the Ajax he made Burke a gift of 40000 shares and Sullivan a gift of 20000 j which they sold at about 2 cents a Share He says both parties were in c terested in the Champlain and the I Copperopolis litigation and would have lost stock which they held in the former for-mer of those mines if he had not helped them out and obtained a set tlement of the suit Everybody whose property or life he saves he says turns round and sues him and he has done ture with acts of kindness in the fu |
