| Show SElRIXG THE FOOT WALL I That is the Way it 1Cuk Out at the Niagara Tunnel 1 Every indication points to the fact that the face of the Niagara tunnel is fast nearing the foot wall of the vein and the showing is highly encouraging en-couraging Should the values fail tome to-me in before the wall is encountered drifting on the vein will commence Its It-s very probable that the tunnel has cut into a partially barren spot and a little development work will show up the ore bodies The tunnel is now in a waxy quartz carrying iron and some Values The ground is very infirm and fir the first time in several hundred teet timbering has to be resorted toT to-T 1ere has also been a great increase in the flow of water within the past few days This is a very good sign The face of the tunnel is now directly under Spanish ground and from measurements meas-urements just made it is demonstrated that the vein has straightened up considerably con-siderably from the station above It is the true Spanish vein and the strike fis exactly as indicated on the surface I In the recent settlement with the Old Jordan and Galena company the Niagara Nia-gara people < received some ground that 2s very valuable to them This ground is on the Buckeye and the Mary Ann and gives the company clear right of way through to its other properties Mr Montgomery will go out to the properties pro-perties vvithin the next few days I |
