Show I GETTIXG NEAR THE ORE ODIE5 Fnce of the NIagara Tunnel In the Hansltie Wall When Manager Thomas of the Niagara alining and Smelting company com-pany who left for his home last night meets with the other stockholders in the east he will have some encouraging reports to make for it is very evident that the face of the development tunnel tun-nel being driven in toward the vein rom the north is within a comparatively the bodies ively short distance of ore bodiel for which the company na been searching so industriously A great body of quartzite which always forms the hanging wall of the veins in that section of the Bingham district has jut been cut into by the tunnel which has reached a depth of over 2200 feet and every indication points to an early discovery of the ore The dip of the vein is such that the ore body should be cut within the next few feet although o course It is possible that there is quite a stretch of the hangIng wall materials yet to cut through Mr Thomas had been out to the properties for some time past and before be-fore his return to this city and de mrture for the east made a very careful care-ful examination of the tunnel and the mines which It Is being constructed to tap He was of the opinion that the ore bodies are now far from the face and very naturally felt considerably encouraged over the outlook1 for the enterprise |
