Show NEWS PROM GUNNISON Old Resident Dies Republicans After Af-ter the Postoffice Gunnison Feb 7Iary Howard Childs relict of the late William David Da-vid Childs passed to the beyond at 1120 oclock Friday night Feb 5 1S97 at the age of 82 years She was born in Derbyshire England V Eng-land Sect 1 1815 and emigrated to Utah in 1850 settling in Salt Lake City She afterwards moved south ana was amonjjst the first settlers of Gunnison enduring the hardships and privations of a pioneer life Through some imaginary trouble her memory seemed to fail her about seven years ago and of late she had been somewhat some-what feeble minded A sudden illness I ness seized her two days before her death but the end came as a peaceful peace-ful sleep Of the eight children born to her fivp sons and onf daughter are still living and are industrious and re bj1 i a i izt o Ol t 0 piaxe inirty eight of her grandchildren are living here and ten are dead She was a member of the Mormon church lived I II a consistent life was kind patient and endearing and was respected and A beloved by all who knew her Funeral Fu-neral services over her remains will be held on Monday next at 2 oclock Postmaster Roper
