Show DR DNGEIlS CASE He Is Going to Leave Utab and Was Fined 55 The case of Dr Unger charged with practicing medicine without the certificate certifi-cate as required by the laws of the territory terri-tory has at last been disposed of Dr Ungers case was a companion one to that of Dr Hasbrouck who was tried in Commissioner Pratts court on May 10 and found guilty Dr Hasbrouck however how-ever appealed in order to test the validity valid-ity of the law creating the board of territorial terri-torial examiners and the matter is now pending in the third district court Dr Unger went before Commissioner Pratt in company with the prosecuting attorney and entered a plea of guilty In defense of his alleged illegal act he stated that he obtained a diploma in Germany Ger-many which he brought with him to this country This diploma was lost in the Chicago tire and when he came to Salt Lake he learned that he hadnt been in the territory long enough to pass the examination ex-amination as required by the law in question ques-tion and as he had no other means of earning a livelihood he began practicing without the certificate He also stated that he had taken down his sign withdrawn with-drawn his advertisment from the newspapers news-papers and was preparing to leave the territory Upon this showing he was let off with a 5 fine which he paid |
