Show SUPPOSED CHOLERA Dr Jenkins Makes a Report on the Deaths on tIe Karamania WASHINGTON Anc 4 SurgeonGen I eral Wyman of the marine hospital service ser-vice has received a report from Dr Jenkins Jen-kins anent the supposed cholera on the steamer Karamania When the steamer left Naples all on board were well The second day out Rosa Bricoola died of congestion of the lungs and diarrhoea Just before reaching port an Italian aged 40 was taken suddenly ill with pain in the right side and diarrhoea later on he became worse with vomiting and cramps in his legs and arms and he died on Aug 3 On the 1st an Italian woman began to have diarrhoea and sank rapidly dying on the 3d All were buried at sea The passengers are detained five days |
