Show Electrical Executions at Sine SIng Special to THE HERALD Examiner Dispatch ALBANY N Y July LIt is just possible pos-sible that I may not execute anybody next week The speaker was Warden Brown cf Sing Sing prison and he had been asked how preparations for the execution of the six murderers were going on and he was answering You see i is more than possible pos-sible that a stay may be asked for and granted to produce new evidence Still there may be some sensible judge who after this delay may not grant it and in that case some of the convicts will have to die dieMr Mr Brown talked as nonchalantly as if be were going to be best man at a wedding instead of manager of a wholesale slaughter slaugh-ter In response to further queries ho said everything was in readiness He admitted that as it was only the second trial of death b v electricity there was still a little novelty about it and a break of some kind might be made but he said tha greatest care would be taken that all the apparatus should be in the best kind of order The men are in the best condition and none of them have broken down Upon being asked t give some information ti informa-tion as to the time of execution and number num-ber to be killed in a day he said I havo no information to give I shall carry out the law to the letter and I shall give no information in-formation to the press othei than that the execution took place at a certain hour No newspaper reports shall come from the inside in-side of my prison walls The information which the law allows shall be given that is all Warden Brown says that he will even swear his jury t secrscy |
