| Show THE OLD rOOCS EXCURSION I S Arrangements All Completed for the Trip to Ogden The old folks excursion to Ogden takes S place today and everything indicated 1 that there will be a largo turnout and that the veterans will have a thoroughly enjoyable time The train will leave the S Union Pacific depot in this city at 815 a m and returning will leave Ogden at 615 p m The committee havingcharge S S of the excursion is composed of William tLt B Preston William Eddington Nelson 5 S A Empe5 T George Goddard John Kirk man William L Binder C R Savage William Naylor and Andrew Jenspn The following suggestions are from the t committee The Old Folks excursion train from Ogden Is expected to arrive at S the Salt 5 Lake city depot about730 and in addition addi-tion to the number of street cars which the two companieshave kindly promised to be at their service ou arrival if the livery stable proprietors could also furnish fur-nish a few conveyances to carry some of the more infirm and crippled ones it would be much appreciated S The aged veterans will have becnat least twelve hours from their homes and I will naturally be tired and weary when 1 they reach the depot S i There are scores if not hundreds in the city besides those who have already S contributed towards the success of this npble enterprise who are anxious to tLrow in their mite it they knew what toey could do The committee therefore S kindly suggest that in addition to the above those private families who have carriages ph tons or buggies that can accommodate from one to half a dozen will be there also so that on their immediate im-mediate arrival not one aged soul may be II left to wend his or her way home on foot in the dark |
