Show CHOLERA IS NEW YORK Nine Suspected Cases KouioveU to Sivin burue Island NEW YORK Aug 12The health offi cers bulletin says At midnight Francisco Fran-cisco Mola one of the passengers of the steamer Karamania died of cholera at Swinburne island The remains were cremated this morning Nine more sue pected cases were removea t tne isiana this morning An examination shows that all the atients sent their yesterday are suffering from Asiatic cholera There are now seventeen cholera patients in the hosnital one of whom is convalescing Eight are known to be cholera the rest suspected This evening Dr Jenkins issued the following bulletin At 1 oclock today Guiseppi Addino aged 45 years was transferred to Swinburne Island hospital The census of the hospital tonight shows Cholera patents 14 convalescing 1 suspects sus-pects 3 total 18 All patients in the hospital are improving and I think all will recover with the exception ot three cases viz Francesco Caiola Paolo Mariano Gengio Coriao Bacteriological examinations have in all cases confirmed the diognosis of cholera The following cable mailed to Paris and sent from there was received tonight from my representative in Naples Cholera cables from New York are frequently fre-quently comfiscated by the Italian government gov-ernment There are eighteen cases and seven deaths today |
