Show ANOTHER SCHOOL OPENED About Six Hundred Pupils Enrolled at tho Franklin lesterday The new Franklin school at the corner I of Second South and Seventh West was thrown open yesterday morning and about six hundred pupils were enrolled I Trustees Dooly and Alff and Dr Mills pauijh were present but there were no services of any sort the pupils dropping into their places without the slightest friction Prof E S Hallock is the principal I prin-cipal and he has with him the ten teachers teach-ers of the Fifteenth school The Franklin releases three rented buildings which have been used for school purposesthe Armstrong Arm-strong building the Westminster chapel and the Whitney building The building can accommodate about six hundred pupils pu-pils and contains ten rooms It is very handsome structure and was erected at a I cost of 50000 I AU the public schools opened yesterday after a weeks vacation |
