Show Lancer Game Program Rates High LAXTON The 198J football program booklet sold at this year's Layton High School games has been awarded third place in the nation, the first time any Utah publication has received such a prestigious award. THE PROGRAM was cited by the American Press Association for its "crisp writing and superior graphic design." In the past two years the school programs prog-rams have received letters of commendation from the Association, but have not received national honors. This year's program was designed and edited by Bryan Gray with cover art by Steve Egan, a Layton High art teacher. The program prog-ram was made possible through advertisements of local merchants. GRAY, THE operator of "Shades of Gray Communications Com-munications in Layton," said the program's honor is a credit to the local merchants. mer-chants. "The national award is very satisfying, but without the businesses advertising in the Lancer book there would be no program at all." This year's program is 16 pages, 12 pages of which are pre-printed with features fea-tures and general information, informa-tion, and four pages of which change with each game including updated rosters and player profiles. The programs sell for 25 cents at each home game. |
