AT THE WHITE HOUSE Ghrlsmui Celebrated in au Old Fashioned Fash-ioned Family Style Washington Dec 25The president and members of the cabinet celebrated Christmas in an oldfasnioned way mak fcng It essentially a family affair At the White House a Christmas e W set Jn the library the first the Cleveland cSiildreji have called their own Ir Cleveland herself put the finishing touches to the tree which while not of great proportions was beautifully trimmed an3 decorated with tiny parti colored electric lairds In place of the old dine wax candles Until noon express wagons and messengers 3l xl to the White House As usual the president remembered all the employees of the Ihinise Every one got a fat turkey and to his personal servants the president gave substantial gifts of money Mrs Cleveland also had pretty little presents for each ot the employees She herself received many Christmas presents the presidents tokens being very beautiful The only guests at the White House was Mrs Clevelands mother Mrs Perrine and the dinner was strIctly limited to the family Preceding it however there was a pretty litUe luncheon set out for the chttdren of the cabinet who came to the White House to see the Christmas tree
