Show Watching Baby's Eyes may notice some white, bumpy bum-py plaques known as the "epithelial perals." These are normal. The superficial lining of the front part of Ihe lips may peel during the first week or two. Your doctor will watch the development of your baby's eyes with you during the first months of life. If he feels any medical treatment is necessary, neces-sary, he w ill make that recommendation recom-mendation to you or he will suggest you take your child to an eye specialist. IT IS impossible to test the vision of your newborn. He sees in the twilight zone. He will focus hazily in the first fee weeks of life. Although he is extremely sensitive to light and is able to distinguish between be-tween light and dark from birth, he will see little or no detail for several weeks. During the first few eeks, baby will begin to follow you and other fastmoving objects with his eyes. By the time he can actually focus, his bright eyes will reflect your love.
