PREMATURE BLEST At Spokane Falls Instantly Kills Fifteen Men A LOCOMOTIVE AND A MOTOR MEET I Cleveland with Deadly Results A SmashUp Smash-Up on the Boston Express An Employee Em-ployee to Blame SPOKANE FALLS Wn Sapt GJust before be-fore G oclock this evening 1 premature blast killed fifteen men and possibly many more on the Northern Pacific road The full extent of the disaster is as yet unknown un-known I was just before tho hour for quitting work A large force of men were engaged in blasting out a huge rockpile in the Northern Pacific freight yards in the eastern part of this city From fifty to seventyfive men were at work in the cut at tho time Fifteen have been taken out dead A number of the injured and still others came out alive All is confusion and it is impossible yet to get names or particulars par-ticulars Some of the workmen wero preparing a blast to be touched off after the other I workmen and teams had departed for the I night Quo blast had been prepared Inputting In-putting in a second it was exploded the tire also touching off the first blast Twen tyfive thousand cubic feet of rock were thrown over and upon the imprisoned mass of humanity with terrible results Hun dreds of people soon gathtredat the scene and the work of taking out thede d and injured in-jured has been going on The scenes at the hospital are heartrending
