| Show Investigating the New York Cential Strike ALBANY N Y Sept 5Beforo the state board of arbitration today Mr Le fevre a discharged employee of the New York Central railroad testified he had been an employee of the company eighteen years Superintendent Bissell discharged him but gave no reasons tolling him he knew what for He supposed it was because he was a Knight of Labor He had never been reprimanded rep-rimanded suspended or accused of drunkenness drunk-enness or incapacity The testimony of other discharged employees was of the same general tenor Officials of the road testified as to the discharge of the men for cause in one instance the cause assigned being that they were bothering with committees when they should be atwork The hearing I was closed The bard will consider the testimonyand make certain recommenda tionsbut as itcan only do so to the legislature legis-lature body meets nothing will be heard until that |
