Show Farmington OKs Budget By KATHRYN JENNINGS Farmington City Council met June 21st with Councilman Council-man Harold Tippetts acting as mayor protem in the absence ab-sence of Mayor E.T. He reported that the Aegean Village site plan, under R-l-4 Zone was approved. They also approved the Steed Creek final plan. The commission suggested changes in the Lairy Wood site plan for commercial development at the corner of State Street and 100 East. Gordell Brown, representing represent-ing the Farmington Lions Club introduced Stewart Kirkpatrick, recently elected president of the Farmington Lions Club. THE GENTLEMEN announced an-nounced Fiesta Days in Farmington, Far-mington, to be held on Saturday, Satur-day, July 21, with the theme "People Power" in connection connec-tion with the present energy problem. It was suggested that the mayor work with the Lions Club for this annual event, in the future, with some assistance from the city. The budget hearing was the next matter of business with a number of citizens attending. The budget was discussed for 1979-80, with citizens asking questions concerning the budget. EXPENDITURES FYE 6.30.80 lists general expenditures. expendi-tures. $411,837; class "C" roads, $36,709; liquor law enforcement, en-forcement, $5,000; revenue sharing, $44,943; collector road, $40, 000 and the adjust total general expenditure ' $538,489. - - Expenditures FYE 6.M sewer, waterworks and wasie -collection, $268,479; bond water construction, $18,711; reservoir storage, S 1 50. 000, flood control, $63,200; part improvement, $109,000; lite protection, $25,992 with an additional $1,381.50 making a total of $27,373.50 and sidewalk construction, 58,771 AFTER DISCUSSION, Boyd Mounteer, councilman, suggested that it would tie necessary to amend the budget bud-get to include an increase lor fire protection fee in lie amount of $1,381.50. Louis Barnett, councilman, made the motion to adopt the amended budget which included the additional lire protection fee. The vote was unanimous to adapt the budget. bud-get. MR. MAXWELL rep resented the Steed Creek Estates, requesting final approval lor the subdivision and this was-approved was-approved by the council.
