Show ANOTHER IN THE TOILS George Holyoak of Pat owaii Arrested rested ou the Going Charge BEAVER October 31Special to THE HERALD Deputies McGarry and Armstrong Arm-strong arrested George Holyoak on his farm near Parbwan Sunday morning about 8 oclock Holyoak had been absent from Parowan several months till August last when he returned to harvest The deputies were posted as to the whereabouts o Holyoaks seeping seep-ing quarters Early in the morning Holyoak heard the deputies coming When be aroseArmstroi jz went in and made the arrest He was brought here yesterday together with his wives and other witnesses He was taken befor Commissioner Smith and the complaint was read charging the defendant with unlawful cohabitation between the 9th of November 1883 and October 8th 1SS7 witn Mrs George Hale Elizabeth Knights or Holyoak Defendant asked for a postponement till nr Denney who is absent Salt Lake arrives here this evening The case was postponed till tomorrow at at 10 a mOn m-On account of Holyoaks absence the greater portion of the last three years it is said it will be more difficult to make a case againt him than against Dover who was acquitted on Saturday morning because of the insufficiency of the evidence The latter case was before Commissioner Commis-sioner Smith when it was alleged tbat t11e second wife was formerly Kate Granger subsequently Gibson and Bell o |
