| Show I Change of Base I With this issue Mr John E Evans I foreman of the composing rooms ceases his connection with THL HERALD and it is telling only the truth to say that publishers printers and editors all regret the parting Ju one capacity or another Sir Evans has been a member of THE HERALD family almost since there was such a family and the regrets at his retirement now are not only because ho is a jolly good fellow but because he has ever been faithful trustworthy end competent uniformly pursuing a couro to command com-mand the confidence of his employers and the respect and esteem of his associates as-sociates Mr Evans has two object in view in severing the relations re-lations which we have reason to believe have been as pleasant and satisfactory satis-factory to him as to TH HEEALD one is to escape the arduous and confining labor la-bor incident to a morning oiioer and which was injuriously effecting his health and the other is to engage business for himself He will at once embark in the book and jobprinting industry having associated himsel with Kelly Co the binders We all wish him the greatest success and car promise it to him if a thorough knowledge knowl-edge of and practical skill in the printers art can win success |
