Show The Last Appointment The news of the appointment of Mr J G Tyler to the vacancy caused by the term of Ogdens postmaster expiring expir-ing has given very good satisfaction among the residents of Ogden Mr Tyler was an applicant for the position and had goodlendorsements both at home and abroad His career m Ogden has been that of a manly man For some timebe had held the position of cJl rk at the Broom Hotel and had won the esteem of all those who had become acquainted with him His business qualifications are of such an order that there can be no doubt as to his ability to administer the affairs of his office to the satisfaction of the public pub-lic in general He is courteous and affuble and we could not think of an individual who would be more acceptable accept-able to the citizens of Ogden than Mr Tyler We congratulate the gentleman on his successful competition for the prize which he has just secured Some tirna since Judge Henderson tendered to Mr Tyler the position of clerk of the First District Court made vacant by the resignation of Mr T A Perkins and it was Accepted conditionally condition-ally the condition being that he be per uiitt d to resign in case he should be appointed postmaster Mr Tyler however how-ever had not yet taken hold of the duties of the clerkship and it is unknown un-known who will be appointed to fill that place The commission of Mr Little held the present Postmaster of Ogden expires on January 14th |
