Show KIDS Ryan Galbraith and Ronny Olsen polish up their watermelon eating skills in preparation for contests scheduled daily at Davis County Fair. Kids will love the 1982 Davis County Fair! Every day of the three-day celebration celebra-tion is crowded with events to please the younger generation. FOR KIDS who love to eat there are watermelon eating contestsand pie eating contests where even losers are winners. The food is delicious and there's a chance to win a prize. The eating contests are scheduled all three days of the fair. For youngsters who love animals, the children's barnyard offers a variety of animals. While the inhabitants of the barnyard bar-nyard may not be as exotic as those found at the zoo, they're friendly. The exhibit will remain open during the entire fair. CHILDREN MAY register at the fair office for prize drawings and a chance to win one of the three bicycles to be awarded, one each day, to lucky ticket holders. While special events for kids are sche duled Thursday and Friday, it will be kids' day Saturday. From noon until 3 p.m. there will be games and races for kids of all ages with lots of prizes! DIVING FOR dollars in the sawdust pile is another diversion scheduled for three days of the celebration. Hidden in the sawdust are all kinds of coins and the kids get to keep what they find. The ping pong ball drop scheduled Saturday at 2 p.m. means 900 chances for kids to win prizes. Everyone of the specially spe-cially marked balls can be redeemed for a prize. COSMO THE Clown will entertain all day Saturday with a special program set fro 12:15 p.m. in the "Big Top" tent. Singing groups will perform both Friday and Saturday. Fair exhibits and displays as well as special attractions promise three fun-filled fun-filled days for kids. |
