Show Keturns From China v 4- L - REN EE TIETJEN Former resident of Bountiful, Bounti-ful, Rcnce Tietjen, returned to her home in Cambridge. Ma. July 29 following a six-weeks stay in The People's Republic of China. SHE WAS invited lo participate partici-pate in a month long cultural exchange program along w ith a group of other Western Landscape Land-scape architects by attending classes at Qingwa University in Peking. They lived at the university dorms as Chinese students do and attended classes in city planning, Chinese gardens, history of Chinese painting, historical and current thought on architecture and other topics. I his was the first such exchange in the field of landscape land-scape architecture to take place at Qingwa University. KM. LOWING the month in Peking, the group toured China Chi-na for two weeks visiting many interesting places. Rcnce is a graduate of Vic w-mont w-mont High School, Utah State University, and the Harvard Graduate School of Design and is presently cmplosed with the firm of Shepley Bulfinch Richardson and Abbott in Boston.
