Show NEPIII NEWS Nephi presented quite a holiday appearance appear-ance this morning Hundreds of children dressed in their best were on the street in front of the tabernacle at 10 oclock Wagons loaded with people from the neighboring neigh-boring towns came rolling in all morning The stars and stripes floated on the breeze and music enchanting the ear foretold that the good people of Nephi were about to participate in something extraordinarily grand and so it provedj for at 1 oclock the Sanpete railway train arrived with two passengers whom the people of Juab county revere Presidents Wilford Woodruff and George Q Cannon The Sun dayschool and primary children formed on each side of the sidewalk as far as the tabernacle and the illustrious visitors walked up the long aisle of beautiful children chil-dren accompanied by Presidents Sperry and Paxman bishops and other leading men of Nephi with the band at the head passing under an arch with the inscription With Joy We Greet Our Leaders to the tabernacle which we found entirely too small to accommodate the vast number of people who had assembled for the purpose of seeing and hearing the men they had not seen nor heard for years Meeting opened and Presidents Cannon and Woodruff occupied oc-cupied the time in good teaching |
