Show Wmm Mots By MARCIA ALLEN With only two and a half weeks of school behind us, everything ev-erything is underway for a fantastic fan-tastic year! OUR WELCOME Back Assembly was a success, and big thanks go out to everyone who helped to make it the best in years! The countdown is starting for homecoming which will begin be-gin Monday, Sept. 22, and continue con-tinue with rip-roaring activities activi-ties for the entire week. Saturday, Satur-day, Sept. 27, will bring forth a grand finale as the VI IS Pep Club sponsors the annual homecoming dance. The biggest big-gest and grandest assembly of the year will be held Friday morning, and the invitation is out for all former Vikings to join us, especially the student-body student-body officers from every outstanding out-standing Viking year. SOPHOMORES are anticipating anti-cipating the election for their class officers. Petitions have already been out and around, and the political wheels have begun to roll as the primary elections were held this morning. morn-ing. The final elections will be held next Wednesday. The Sophomore class assembly will take place Thursday morning morn-ing during second period. Many Viking teams competed com-peted last week and congratulations congratu-lations for victories go to our cross country teams, both girls and guys. These teams will compete tomorrow afternoon on the VHS track at 3 p.m. Tennis will be big at 3:30 p.m. as the Viewmont team hosts West; The Viking golfers will host South at 2:30 p.m. FOOTBALL for the junior varsity team will take place at West at 4 p.m., while the sophomore soph-omore team takes them on at our home field. Another exciting excit-ing home game under the lights will be at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The varsity football team will host West at that time. Good luck teams! That wraps up another big week for our grand Viking crew. As out new and spirited theme states, don't forget that we are: "Second to None in '81!" |
