' s&k w A- x MARK EARL Mark Lee Earl, 13, son of Lee and Lona Earl, will receive re-ceive his Eagle award at a Court of Honor Sunday, Sept. 14 at Bountiful East Stake Center, 2200 South 600 East at 7 p.m. HIS SERVICE project was for Lakeview Hospital. It included in-cluded game and toy shelves in the pediatrics ward and viewing view-ing steps at the nursery windows. win-dows. He is active in Troop 621 , a member of the Order of the Arrow and has completed Travis Tra-vis Leadership training. He has served as patrol leader and historian and is currently assistant assis-tant senior patrol leader and an instructor. At 4 p.m., an open house will be held at the Hall home, 780 West 1600 North, West Bountiful. ' j KEVIN VAN UITERT Kevin Van Uitert, son of Raymond and Karen Van Uitert, received his Eagle award on July 27. The Court of Honor was held in the Woods Cross 4th Ward where he also received his Eagle neckerchief presented to him by Dave Ervine a member of the Rotary Club. KEVIN IS in the ninth grade at South Davis Jr. High and has served as Deacon Quorum president and carried out many assignments in his quorum and scout troop. He has enjoyed scouting and has earned 38 merit badges. This has made him eligible for three palms. His favorite merit badges have been forestry, fishing, basketery. rifle and shotgun. FOR HIS Eagle project he passed out flyers to all residents resi-dents of Woods Cross encouraging en-couraging them to vote. This included the time and their particular par-ticular districts. After the elections, elec-tions, he removed all campaign posters from the Woods Cross area. His scoutmaster is Ed Gray and assistant scoutmaster is Willard Richards. . S-V 1 , ".--'. MICHAEL HATCH Michael Hatch, age 13, son of Deon and Ralph Hatch of Bountiful, received his Eagle Scout award Sept, 9 in the Val Verda 4th Ward. He has earned 26 merit badges, his favorite being the weather merit badge. His goal is to earn all of his palms. MICHAEL HAS been an active ac-tive member of his ward and troop being patrol leader, assistant senior patrol leader, a member ofthe Deacon Quorum presidency, and den chief for the cub scout troop. His hobby is sports of all kinds. His service project was; planning and carrying out a project to collect books for the Boulton Elementary school library. MICHAEL IS in the eighth grade at South Davis Jr. High, - ' -;... .; '- I ' ! : -a . sJ v 4 -s v TOM STONE Tom Stone, son of Robert and Delene Stone, received his Eagle Scout aw ard in a Court of Honorheldon April 16. 19S0 in the Bountiful 28th Ward. TOM IS a ninth grade student stu-dent at Millcreek Jr. High this fall. He completed his Eagle requirements prior to his 14th birthday. He has participated in basketball and baseball and is looking forward to playing football. He has attained his Star rank by the time he was 12. He has earned 23 merit badges and his favorite was fishing. HE HAS earned his On My Honor award; has been a den chief, a patrol and senior patrol leader and was first counselor in the Deacon Quorum presidency. pres-idency. He attended the Silver Mocassin Scout Leadership Camp during the summer of 1979. This is the high point of Todd's scouting career and culminates several years of fun and hard work in , scouting. TODD IS the first Eagle of the Farmington 9th Ward Troop 904 and is the son of Dan and Jan Campbell. |
