Show Center: Multipurpose Did you know that the Golden Gol-den Years Center is a multipurpose multi-purpose Center? We offer many services to all our senior citizens, from Far-mington Far-mington south. THE NUTRITION program includes luncheon served five days a week from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The homebound meals are for those who are unable to come to the Center because of illness or a disability, we can deliver meals right to your home. TRANSPORTATION: our van is in operation now. If you need a ride to and from the Center, arrangements can be made to pick you up at your home, let us know a day in advance as to when you want transportation, call 295-3479. Friendly visitor program: if you need someone to talk to, want someone to read to you or write a letter, we have a volunteer waiting for your call. TELEPHONE service: if you prefer someone to call you to check on your well being, be-ing, someone to chat with and keep in touch with, we have volunteers ready to call you and start a beautiful friendship. Then there are the educa tional programs; a new class to learn to crochet, will be started as soon as there are enough people, men or women for a class. Anne Witcher will instruct this crochet class, so call the Center if interested. WE ALSO offer ceramics classes, china painting, oil painting, woodwork, sewing and quilting classes. We set aside Monday from 1-2 p.m., offering travelogues, book reviews, workshops and timely subjects such as wills, trusts, con games, taxes and many other worthwhile programs. The recreational programs include a nurse at the Center 1-3 p.m. every Wednesday. She will take blood pressures and answer questions that concern your health. We have physical fitness programs at the Bountiful Indoor In-door Pool where you can take advantage of the sauna, exercise exer-cise room and pool. WE HAVE programs on hypertention and other health programs. If you need yard work done, grass cut, trees pruned or other chores, there are people who will help with this. WINTERIZATION programs pro-grams are included, if a senior citizens income is less than $2590 for one person or less than $3410 for two persons, per-sons, they are eligible for , house repairs such as house insulation, roof repairs, broken windows replaced, walls patched or cracks caulked. Rent supplement from the Davis County Housing Authority has received an additional ad-ditional allocation of housing units on which rent supplements can be paid on behalf of low income persons. If a senior citizen's rent and monthly income is less than $537.50 for one person or $687.50 for two persons, he may be eligible. FOR INFORMATION and referral, an office has been established to provide information infor-mation on services for all ages, call 867-5151 and ask for Nancy Miller for this service.
