Show now riich Sleep? "Grit" recently reported the views of a University of Florida sleep researcher-who has written books on the subject sub-ject and studied thousands of people and their sleep habits. THE CORE of the message from Dr. W. N. Webb is that no two people are alike and that no set of rules, or number of hours, can be listed list-ed as right for any individual. Sleep patterns are hereditary and also vary with health, job, age and other factors. If one individual seems to get on fine with seven hours sleep a night, and another requires nine, so be it. Some can live healthy, safe lives with much less sleep than others. WHAT IT all boils down to, in the end, is the likelihood that each person is the best judge of how much sleep his or her body requires. Of course, as age comes on, one often sleeps less and wakes up more at night, but this is normal. Otherwise, be your oiwi judge, and that will probably be the best advice you can get. |
