Show IMS lis By MEUNDA NOKER "We're back in the saddle again," and activities are piling high. Last week, our Viking pride was excelled as we took on the cross-town Wildcats. We were defeated by only one point, and our team played a hard, but good game. TONIGHT, OUR final preseason football challenge will be with Skyline on their field at 4 p.m. Our team and studentbody are really enthusiastic for a victory and the spirit is soaring. Best of luck to them! Sophomores are beginning their Viking memories next week, as elections for class office will begin. The primary elections will be Thursday and final ballots will be Wednesday, Sept. 20. GIRLS TENNIS games are on Monday with Clearfield at 4, also on Wednesday against Roy at 4. Girls' swimming and golf challenges are also on Wednesday. Thursday, our cross-country team begins racing. Friday, our first season football game will be at Weber, 4 p.m. We're bound for a victory and to boost our spirit, a pep rally will begin at 1 p.m. We're ready and rairin' so watch out Weber! HOMECOMING '78 is coming com-ing up the week of Sept. 18-23. The Viewmont Valkaries are busy to make the Homecoming Homecom-ing dance one never to be forgotten. Boys, it's time to find your special date. We urge all Vikings to attend this dance. Also, all Viking alumni alum-ni are welcome back to partake par-take of the proud Viking spirit shared this year. |
