Show Music and Turkey Today is Thanksgiving day and of course will be observed as a general holiday as far as cessation from ordinary business is concerned con-cerned With the view of making it one of unalloyed pleasure especially especi-ally to lovers of music it is proposed pro-posed by the kind permission of President Taylor to open the Assembly As-sembly Hall for the purpose of dis playicgthe growing interest being taken in the three classes of 600 Sunday school children under training by Air Evan Stephens They will render some pleasing exercises in the presence of their parents and others illustrative of the progress they have made in reading and writing music during the short time they haye been under un-der the instruction of Mr Stephens In addition to these tests of their musical attainments they will sing some of their choice songs The musical part of the pro gramme will be free but those parents and people of the public who design supplying the turkey will please do so at their respective homes for the benefit of the children chil-dren The south gates of the Temple Block will be open to the general public and also the children at 930 oclock am and the exercises commence com-mence at 10 The children belong ing to the singin classes will enter the Assembly Hall at the west door and the public at the east door GEORGE GODDARD |
