Show ISowed Funeral Green Bay Wia 2The train bearing bear-ing the remains of Potmsster General Howe arrived this morning and a committee com-mittee from the bar association received the body which was taken to Hono residence The casket was borne from the house to the hearse and convejel to the Presbyterian Church Bofora the hour set for the funeral exercises the church woe packed while several hundred hun-dred unable to rain admission stood in the street The floral tributes wire profuse pro-fuse The funeral services began at 2 pm with the chant Abide with me by the Presbyterian Church choir Bar L J White p torof the church offered a brief prayer fo lowed by a solo Nearer my Qed to Thee by Mrs M D Kimball sung to the air of Robin Adair a favorite song of Howe Rev H M Simmons delivered a very effecting tribute to the life and character of the distinguished statesman The services at the cemetery were simply the reading of the Presbyterian burial services by Rev White and a few remarks re-marks by Rev Simmons As the coffin was lowered Miss Grae Howe his neice overcome by emotion fainted The floral flo-ral decorations at the grave were very beautiful |
