meeting houses of the Mormon church Mothers day was observed by b the holding of special ser services services services vices The different addresses made at nt these meetings all had for tor their keynotes the significance of ot the day and wh why it should be celebrated The afternoon services were con confined confined confined fined with one exception to the out outlying outlying lying wards namely Brighton Pleas Pleasant Pleasant Pleasant ant Green and Garfield while the ser services services services vices in the city wards were all held In the evening The German meeting in the ward was held at 1230 noon and attracted a large attendance The speakers were August Glissmeyer er and Jacob Jl T cob Kunz and both touched upon the duty of ot each person to honor and respect the mothers of ot our country countr At all of ot the evening services the day was honored in ermon and song One of the most noteworthy programs was that given by b the officers of Lib Liberty Libert Liberty erty ert ward The principal speakers of the evening was Mrs H E Berg the noted eastern lecturer who delivered an interesting discourse on The White Slave Traffic Thomas also made an address The Eardle were the speakers They both gave earnest dis discourses discourses discourses courses and ana dwelt at length on the high ideals of or motherhood The hall hail hallwas was handsomely decorated Interfere with the observance of Mothers day as President President President dent William McLachlan of ot the Pioneer stake who was in attendance at the i conference made the principal ad address
