lET CONTRACT TONIGHT A special meeting of o the board of pub public public public lic works was wa to have been held yester yesterday yesterday day ay afternoon to award the contract for forthe forthe forthe the catch basin and concrete aqueduct in III City Creek canyon but a quorum was not present and the meeting will be held tonight In the board rooms The Gillis Glue Construction company was the lowest bid bidder bidder bidder der with a figure of and to com complete complete complete the work In 60 days Two other bids those of L C Kelsey and S Birch Son were both lower than the bid of P J Moran whose figure was but there is a disposition on the part of the board to give the work to Moran The Tho Gillis Construction company is of officered floored by the same men as the Utah Fireproofing company which had trou trouble trouble trouble ble with the city several years ago in inlaying inlaying laying l cement sidewalks Kelsey Keisey former city engineer is not on good terms with the board heard and Birch It is claimed has not the equipment to handle the work within the GOday dIday limit The question will willbe willbe I be settled at the meeting tonight
