Show I BANK ClERKS MEET I I Special to The Ogden Feb 10 Approximately fifty I local bank clerks were present at a meeting held tonight In the Elks club clubrooms clubrooms rooms with delegates from the Salt I Lake chapter of the American Institute of Banking for the consideration of the advisability of forming an asso association association chapter to the organization In Inthis Inthis inthis this city As a result of af the meeting a committee was appointed to canvass the city for the consensus of opinions of the bank clerks upon the subject At a meeting to be held next Thursday night action will be taken that will result In either the formation of an independent organization or of the pro proposed proposed proposed posed associated chapter to the Salt Lake organization Q B Kelly of the Utah National bank of Salt Lake who Is president of the chapter in that city presided at the meeting tonight He spoke upon the benefit to the bank clerks derived from froman an association with the institute E B BL EL EL L Parker chairman of the educational committee of ot the Salt Lake chapter spoke upon the present conditions of the system of banking and the improve improvement Improvement ment in the class of bank clerks He advised however that some steps should be taken whenever possible to ta eliminate the Turkish cigarette habit among the clerks and to shorten the width of the trouser Responses were made by J S Bur Burton Burton Burton ton and J H Riley Rile of this city The committee appointed to report upon the advisability of forming farming the pro proposed proposed proposed posed organization are J F Burton J II H 1 1 Riley Carl M 1 Lee Walter Em Ern Emley ErnIe icy ley Ie A C and Sumner Nelson All of the delegates from Salt Lake gave short talks to the members of the local gathering The delegates were E A Bowen R H C Barnes R R n Shar Sharkey Sharkey Sharkey key F H Keddington E L Parker R P L Conely Conel G H Butler J M Id Weiler R Q Cannon A L Moreton Mareton William McCune F M MIchelson and C I L Mabey |
