Show Nokes To Address C Of C The membership meeting of the Bountiful Area Chamber of Commerce will be held Jan. at 12 noon in the Pine Room of the Servus Drug. THE SPEAKER will be the well-known radio and TV personality, per-sonality, Jackie Nokes, and she will address her remarks to the subject "Radio and Television Televi-sion in Today's World." Jackie Jack-ie is well qualified to discuss this subject, having worked with the media for nearly 25 years. You may remember her for her work with Romper Room, co-anchor of Channel 5 Eyewitness News; hostess and producer of Mid Day, hostess of the interview program prog-ram "Faces," and serves as assistant to the president of KSL in charge of educational services. ' Jackie was born in Salt Lake City and later moved to Los Angeles, Calif., where she graduated gra-duated from high school and then attended the University of California. She returned to f - :i v ?; '' 1 i - 1 - . ! ,. JACKIE NOKES Utah and attended the U. of U. where she was awarded a degree de-gree in elementary education and home economics. IN ADDITION to her long service in radio and TV, she has taught school in Idaho and worked as a service representative represen-tative for Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph. Jackie is a member of the national na-tional sorority. Delta Gamma, and has been listed in "W ho's Who of American Women:" "World's Who's Who of Women:" "Community Leaders;" Lead-ers;" and "The Joy of Being a Woman." published by Horizon Hori-zon Publishers. She is widely involved with community affairs and sen es as regent and director of many boards. She has been affiliated with many business and professional pro-fessional organizations, and has received awards and recognitions rec-ognitions from various foundations founda-tions and organizations to numerous to mention here. THIS PROGRAM promises to be a highlight of the year, and those attending will be w ell rewarded, as they listen to one of Utah's outstanding women. |
